NEWS AND REVIEWS

"BeaufunK brings the flavors of New Orleans funk mixed with some Oakland soul to the Poor House Bistro on a regular basis. They are true professionals that know how to keep the crowd groovin' & dancing all night long. Their recent CD (Change Gone Come Fa Betta) is a favorite of mine that gets better and better like an aged fine wine!"

I just checked out the tracks on your CD-baby page and I’d like to feature you on my show. I particularly liked What is Wrong."

In loving memory of "The Maestro" Dan Daniels, an early member of The BeaufunK Family.  Dan is directly responsible for the band's hiring of guitarist Frank Acosta, recommended after original guitarist Ian Lamson left the group. His music history, repertoire, and countless credits is truly worthy of his acquired moniker.  Our condolences go out to his family, his many friends, and those who loved his spirit and music.  We will all miss him greatly.  Rest in eternal peace our dear friend a music brother.
Over the coming months, in the absence of good friend and brother Michael Jeffries (on hiatus from the group) BeaufunK will continue featuring some of the Bay Area's most incredible and renown vocalists. Coming in June,  the group will begin featuring the incomparable Fred Ross (former vocalist for Pee Wee Ellis, Maceo Parker, and Fred Wesley).  Joining the group in September will be Tony Lindsay (formerly of Santana). The group is looking forward to this exciting new journey - and don't worry, Michael will again be back with BeaufunK at some point in the very near future. Keep an eye on the schedule to see who might be singing out front.  Also, keep the other eye out for a new CD coming soon!
